Ha, you thought I was going to say that I was going to Italy. Unfortunately, nope. Just still in our little corner of Japan, but making art of far-flung places.
This one is also for a Spoonflower challenge, and instead of doing a bright wallpaper, I thought why not do something dramatic. Then I found all of these images of beautiful art nouveau style wrought iron gates, and I was sold.
I’m also trying to use what I learned in the lighting class I did online through Domestika, although I still feel inadequate. But I’m improving, and that’s the most important thing. I didn’t want to focus too much on the details save for the gate itself, instead opting to make it more dreamy and chalk pastel like in the background.
I hope you like it!
