ねこbakery

March 23, 2021

Some days (okay, most days) I sketch out some random things that I’m not sure if they’ll go anywhere, but worth getting the ideas down. A few weeks ago, I sketched out some cute cat ice creams, and then promptly forgot about them.

I was running out of ideas of stuffs to work on as a break from my whole tattoo series, so I flipped through my sketch dump folder and thought I’d give it a go with making a ton of different cat bakery things.

For those who don’t read Japanese, the title is a portmanteau of “panya-san” (パン屋さん) which is a baker, and “nya” (ニャー) which is the sound cats make. Neko (ねこ) is cat in Japanese, so it’s a cat bakery! All of foods are my (probably bad) attempts at jokes. Pudding in Japanese is “purin” (プリン) so it seemed like it would work well with “purr.” Stuff like that.

And all of the cats in this one are my kitties or my mom’s – the “catcake” is Yuki, my mom’s deaf trouble maker, “nekoicecream” is Moe, and the middle purple macaroon is Gigi, with her cute little fangs. My cats are featured as the “purr-ding” with Spice, the bottom (angry, droll looking) macaroon is Sugar, and the top (derpy) one is Bean.

Plus, they look great on printed things, even if it is sickeningly sweet pink ;P

This is currently on RedBubble, and it’ll be up on my shop when I have the time, hopefully later this week!
