Not too long ago, I got this absolutely amazing gouache brush set from CreativeMarket:
Powered by Creative MarketIt is amazing, and one of the best brush sets I’ve gotten in a while. Seriously, they’re so smooth that it feels like actual painting. Adding in the color variances and use of secondary colors really makes them fun to work with, and creates a very realistic result.
It inspired me to make my own nice watercolor textured paper to really up the realism of these brushes. Not sure what to illustrate, I fell back on my normal “Final Fantasy 14” inspiration. This time, instead of moogles or other little critters, I went for fights I really enjoyed doing – Hell’s Keir and Castrum Fluminis. Here is my results of my love for these ladies!
This really graphic style was a lot of fun to play with, and I hope to come back to it more in the future.
