I guess I’m late on the bandwagon, but nerdy ugly christmas sweaters are awesome. I got a Rick and Morty one for Chris and a Sailor Moon one for myself years ago, but I kind of… forgot about them.
Then, I started thinking about what sort of designs I could do for our Final Fantasy 14 Free Company for the holidays, to have in our FC shop, and started pixel drawing various minions with holiday caps. And it snowballed (no pun intended) from there.
So here’s my first entry into “ugly Christmas sweater” land, and I have to say, I freeking love it! It was so much fun to do – I converted the pixel art into a faux cross stitch like I did for my “Home is where the cat is” artwork (which I apparently never wrote a blog on, either. I am terrible!) and went from there to make it truly look like an ugly sweater. Although, I honestly tried to not make it too ugly… maybe garish is a better word? lol
I’m also thinking I might have washi tape printed with the pattern, but I don’t know if I could get it in time and then ship it out to others, so it might be a “maybe next year” type thing.
