So the past few days, I’ve been learning more and more about making my own brushes in Procreate. I’ve wanted some inky styles for a while, since I like the brush stroke look reminiscent of Japanese paintings.
Here is my first attempt at making some nice, streaky ink brushes, as well as some ones kind of more like rough, dry ink. I’m really happy with how they’ve been turning out, and of course, I haven’t stopped with the kitsune (Japanese fox guardians) pictures, either.
I’m also really impressed with how RedBubble mocks up your pieces on their products for printing. No other site I’ve played with has really done is quite as well.
So now, I’m on a drawing kick with a purpose! Or so I keep telling myself, because otherwise I’m afraid I’ll think it’s all a waste. Here is the pair of cute kitsune loves on a bunch of different things!
I’ll also be putting up Halloween stuff in September, I’m so excited. This iPad is just the bees knees!
Had a medicine change this past week, and I’m really hoping it will help with everything, I had been at a really low point for too long, even with the added “oomph” of drawing.
And a huge, huge hug and thank you to friends and family who have boughten things with my art on it, I really can’t stay how much it means to me in simple words. You guys are amazing, and I love you all so, so much!
Hi Sam! Thanks a lot for joining me!
Great blog! 🙂
I’m glad to have found you! I love seeing reviews for things I can actually find here in Japan!
